AYREON'S "The Human Equation Theater Experience" announced
Nearly 6000 Ayreon fans from 49 different countries will flock to Rotterdam (NL) this September to witness the once-in-a-lifetime theater production 'The Theater Equation' based on Ayreon's The Human Equation. The album's original vocalists James LaBrie, Devon Graves, Heather Findlay, Eric Clayton, Marcela Bovio, Magnus Ekwall and Irene Jansen will reprise their roles on 18th, 19th and 20th of September in the nieuwe Luxor theater. Rounding out the cast are Ayreon veterans Wudstik, Anneke van Giersbergen and Mike Mills.
For years fans of Arjen Anthony Lucassen's rock operas have begged for a live performance. The creative team of Shadow Freaks, a theater production company lead by Lucassen's former manager Yvette Boertje, now answers that call by staging a fan favorite; 'The Human Equation'.
The Human Equation tells the story of comatose man who battles his emotions that have come to life in a frightening and bizarre world: his own mind. After a 20-day emotional rollercoaster ride filled with good and bad memories, shocking revelations and hope-filled desires, the man has to make a decision: wake up or die?
The band features some of Lucassen's finest guest musicians: Ed Warby, Johan van Stratum, Jeroen Goossens, Ben Mathot and Maaike Peterse. Joost van den Broek is music director and arranger for the band that also features Marcel Coenen, Freek Gielen, Erik van Ittersum and Ruben Wijga. The Epic Rock Choir, assembled especially for this show, will bring an extra dimension to this production as a finishing touch.
The Theater Equation's spectacular cast, band, stage design and costumes promise to turn this production into the prog event of 2015! The first three shows sold out so fast, that a fourth (and final) show was added later. Tickets for this show are available now via www.thetheaterequation.com

NEW TRACK-BY-TRACK INTERVIEW REVEALED FOR WORLD-RENOWNED GUITARIST/COMPOSER STEVE HACKETT'S FORTHCOMING SOLO ALBUM "WOLFLIGHT" DUE OUT IN NORTH AMERICA APRIL 7TH
NEW TRACK-BY-TRACK INTERVIEW REVEALED FOR WORLD-RENOWNED GUITARIST/COMPOSER STEVE HACKETT'S FORTHCOMING SOLO ALBUM "WOLFLIGHT" DUE OUT IN
NORTH AMERICA APRIL 7TH
(New York, NY) - On April 7th, world-renowned guitarist/composer Steve Hackett will release his brand new solo album, WOLFLIGHT, in North America via InsideOut Music. With a few weeks to go until the record's release, a new track-by-track interview with Hackett on the album's title track, taken from the special edition version of the album, has just been posted. To listen and find out more about the song and the ideas behind it, click here. A lyric video for the track "The Wheel's Turning" was also recently released and can be viewed here. Hackett had this to say about the song: "In contrast to the primal and gothic nature of much of the album, "The Wheel's Turning" has a fun and nostalgic vibe. It recaptures my childhood memories of London's Battersea Funfair which gave me hours of joy and challenge in an otherwise grey world. Take that trip back in time with me, fasten your seat belt and enjoy the ride..."
WOLFLIGHT is Steve Hackett's first original solo studio album since BEYOND THE SHROUDED HORIZON in 2011. The album will be available in North America in two physical configurations, as well as digitally. Fans will have the option of purchasing WOLFLIGHT physically as a standard CD or as a deluxe version with a CD plus BluRay digipak, which will feature two bonus tracks.
The concept behind WOLFLIGHT is a new, unexplored chapter in Hackett's career. The tracks take the listener through a journey in space and time looking at the different faces of the endless fight for freedom. Wandering between parallel universes, Hackett explores contemporary and ancient cultures, from Greece ("Corycian Fire") to the Far East ("Wolflight"), the United States and Martin Luther King ("Black Thunder"), and also his very own childhood memories ("The Wheel's Turning") and the unresolved drama of domestic violence ("Love Song To A Vampire").
Steve Hackett's electric guitar plays a powerful role, although we also hear him on acoustic guitar, Arabian lute and twelve string, along with his strong lead vocals. Guest musicians include long time collaborators Roger King (keyboards & programming), Gary O'Toole (drums), Rob Townsend (sax, duduk), Nick Beggs (bass & stick) and Amanda Lehmann (harmony vocals). Malik Mansurov on tar and Sara Kovaks on didgeridoo add an extra exotic element, plus YES bassist Chris Squire plays on "Love Song To A Vampire" and Hugo Dagenhardt plays drums on "Dust and Dreams". The innovative songwriting team includes Steve Hackett, his wife Jo Hackett and Roger King.

Tim Bowness has been in NAM studios recording for his forthcoming album, to be released on the InsideOut label. Due in late Summer, the album is a follow-up to 2014's acclaimed Abandoned Dancehall Dreams and features Bowness' live band (including Porcupine Tree's Colin Edwin), alongside Anna Phoebe, Peter Hammill, Andrew Keeling and other guests (to be announced shortly).
Tim had this to say: "If Abandoned Dancehall Dreams was something of a bolder and more dynamic extension of No-Man's 'Schoolyard Ghosts,' I'd say that the new album is something of a bolder and more dynamic extension of 'Abandoned Dancehall Dreams.' A logical step forward with some surprises, I hope. It's been really exciting working with the band on most of the pieces and getting some special contributions from the likes of Anna Phoebe, Peter Hammill and Andrew Keeling."
Abandoned Dancehall Dreams was released last year to critical acclaim, with Classic Rock calling it a "cinematic, contemporary classic and Prog Magazine naming it "arch art-progger Bowness's masterpiece." Prog Magazine also included it in their top 20 critic's albums of the year 2014.
You can watch the video for "The Warm-Up Man Forever" from Abandoned Dancehall Dreams here: http://youtu.be/XuzHTgev7Hc
Tim Bowness is primarily known as vocalist/co-writer with the band No-Man, a long-running collaboration with Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree). In addition to releasing six studio albums and a documentary DVD with No-Man, Tim has worked with popular Italian artist Alice, Robert Fripp, Hugh Hopper (Soft Machine), OSI and Roxy Music's Phil Manzanera, amongst many others, and is a member of the bands Henry Fool and Memories Of Machines.
