Auction for Mountain Oasis Electronic Music Summit Pole Banners to Benefit Bob Moog Foundation

December 11, 2013 (ASHEVILLE, NC) – Over Halloween weekend, Asheville, North Carolina came alive with sonic enlightenment through the Mountain Oasis Electronic Music Summit – a celebration of artistic expression across multiple genres and eras. Headliners included Nine Inch Nails, Bassnectar, Pretty Lights, Neutral Milk Hotel, Animal Collective, Gary Numan, and more. Vertical banners announcing the festival and headliners graced the downtown streets. In a continuing effort to give back to the community in which the festival was held, Mountain Oasis organizers have donated the banners to the Bob Moog Foundation.  The banners will be auctioned on eBay beginning Wednesday, December 11, 2013.

The 10 day auction will feature six banners measuring 60”x30” made of 20 ounce smooth vinyl. The signage includes the name and logo for the festival and the logo/image for the respective headlining bands.

Ashley Capps, president of AC Entertainment, the organization which produces Mountain Oasis, states, “AC Entertainment is proud to offer continued support to the Bob Moog Foundation’s educational and historic preservation initiatives, both of which were featured at the festival. We believe in music as a medium not only to entertain, but to enlighten and we are heartened see the Foundation’s efforts to teach science through music flourishing with their growing project, Dr. Bob’s SoundSchool."

Michelle Moog-Koussa, Executive Director of the Bob Moog Foundation, acknowledges “AC Entertainment has been a major supporter of our efforts for four years. With their help, the Foundation is affecting the lives of thousands of children in Western North Carolina and beyond. We inspire the future through innovative education. The auction for the banners, in addition to the support generated through the festival itself, will help keep our organization healthy and growing.”
